Vienna's Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna State Opera and St Stephen's Cathedral represent one side of Austria. Along the Danube, the Wachau opens into vineyards; farther east are Lake Neusiedl and Esterházy Palace.
Hallstatt and Bad Ischl are part of the Salzkammergut; Graz leads into Styria and its Wine Road. Salzburg brings together Mozart's birthplace, Hohensalzburg Fortress and the Alps. Zell am See, the Krimml Waterfalls, Carinthia's lakes, Innsbruck with the Golden Roof, Lake Constance and the Bregenz Festival complete the picture.
